A.S.C.E.N.D. Club was chartered at Bardstown High School on January 16, 2016. The program is an International Educational Enrichment Program which is one of the signature programs of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. The acronym ASCEND stands for Achieving, Self-Awareness, Communication, Engagement, Networking, and Development Skills. The purpose is to mentor high school students to prepare them for college life or vocational careers while promoting achievement and related cultural activities.
