TIGER PAW DESKTOP WALLPAPER DECORATIVE

Freshmen are issued a brand-new Chromebook to use throughout their four years at BHS. New students who are not freshmen will receive the model that was issued to the grade level as freshmen (used).

CHROMEBOOK REPAIRS

CHROME REPAIR DECORATIVE

The tech department makes most technology repairs in-house. Students will be issued a loaner Chromebook until their device is repaired. All Chromebook repairs are turned in to Ms. Flanagan.

REPLACEMENT FEES

KEYBOARD DECORATIVE

Repairs and parts replacements are free to the student. However, there are exceptions for intentional and/or repeated damage to the Chromebook. Cracked screens are the most frequent repairs. After the screen has been replaced once, subsequent replacements will be at the student’s cost. View the replacement fees here.

Print copies available at the BHS Library circulation desk.

CHROMEBOOK DAILY/WEEKLY ROUTINE

  1. Close all open, unused tabs. This forces your Chromebook to be running continually and can result in freezes and other performance issues.
  2. Remove user profiles that are not yours. This can prevent and eliminate some issues.
  3. Charge your Chromebook fully until the indicator light is no longer amber/orange. Unlike cell phones, Chromebooks do not perform after briefly charging. If a Chromebook is entirely flat, charging may take several hours.
  4. Clear cache and browsing history weekly. See “Tips for Using Your Chromebook” below.
  5. Bring your charger to school daily. Remember, the library does not loan chargers if your Chromebook is dead.
  6. Power off daily. This improves performance and installs essential updates upon re-starting.
