BHS Families,
Below you’ll find some health and safety reminders that will help our spring semester run smoothly.
Return Guidance for Students who are Close Contacts to School Related Exposures
Fully vaccinated students are not required to quarantine but will need to monitor their symptoms. Masks are not required for vaccinated close contacts but are strongly encouraged for 10 days.
Students who are not vaccinated have the following options:
- Participate in the Test to Stay with no quarantine.
- Quarantine for 5 days. Students may return on Day 6 IF the student:
- Has a negative test on Day 6.
- No longer has symptoms.
- Masks for 5 additional days during the school day. Masks will be required to be worn from day 6 through day 10.
Return Guidance for Students who Have Family Members that are Positive or are Close Contacts to Community Related Exposures
Students who are close contacts due to a community related exposure have the same options except for the Test to Stay program. These students cannot participate in the Test to Stay program. They can quarantine for five days and receive a COVID-19 test on Day 6 through our Healthy Kids Clinic BUT must be placed on our testing list in advance. To notify Bardstown High School of your child’s exposure and/or to schedule a COVID-19 test for Day 6, please contact our office at 502.331.8802.
Thank you for your cooperation and support.
Dr. DeWar, principal
